Many of the bulbs and tubers we ship in spring are not hardy, we take into account the temperature in the destination country before shipping.

Lilium

Most lilies are planted in spring. We offer a wide range during that period. The lilies offered now can also (or should) be planted in autumn. The bulbs like to be deep in the ground, with the exception of the Madonna lily, Lilium candidum, which should be planted shallowly.

  • Lilium candidum

    Madonna lily, wonderfully fragrant. Up to twenty pieces, outward-facing, broad funnel-shaped, white flowers. The first leaves often appear in the fall.
  • Lilium henryi

    Firm, tall, orange lily with brown speckles. Turkish Cap-type. Height 120-150 cm.
  • Lilium lancifolium 'Flore Pleno'

    The double-flowered form of the famous tiger lily. L. lancifolium occurs among others in China, Korea and Japan. In summer slightly nodding, orange-red, heavy speckled odourless flowers appear. In the leaf axils arise bulbils will grow in the leaf axils. the stems have greyish hair on them. A strong, easy growing lily.
  • Lilium leichtlinii

    This Japanese species has large fragrant lemon-yellow flowers with many reddish-purple speckles. Often in airy clusters of more than twelve flowers.
